Got Xwindows running again on my old Acer Aspire! After upgrading to the latest Bookworm, I edited /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config, changed allowed_users=console to allowed_users=anybody and added needs_root_rights=yes. Then xinit .fluxbox/startup and I'm off!
