For a while now, I'd been trying to get systemd to work in usermode on one of my servers, with no success. While systemctl --user enable myservice worked fine, with the service file in $HOME/.config/systemctl/user, systemctl --user start myservice would fail, with the daemon unable to find the service file. Frustrating. Finally, I disabled, re-enabled, and started it with no problem. Weird. Oh, and I found out today that to start the services at boot, one must # loginctl enable-linger username.
