so I tried my solar "stove" idea again today. this time I used some aluminum shim stock cut from a beer can (with paint scraped off) to make the connections more secure. I get about 46VDC when disconnected, but as soon as I hook it all up, voltage goes to zero and the current must be close to that. I don't understand it. it's not supposed to work that way.
