made some potato chips today from the one organic potato I got at the market this morning: sliced it thin, then painstakingly pan-fried each slice in lard, and salted the bunch. they were good, but no bargain, having spent probably twice as much on fuel as I did on the potato. still, it's good to know I can do it.
